Building An AI-ready Workforce: A Case Study from the Media Industry

February 26, 2026

As AI reshapes the creative industry, the ETC welcomes organizational psychologist Dr. Laura Weis to share her firsthand expertise on building AI-augmented workflows and rethinking the future of work.

As the industry starts building “hybrid” human-AI workflows, human and organizational factors have moved to the very top of the list of priorities for our industry. In London, ad agency group WPP has invested more than any other media organization ($250 million and counting) not only towards building end-to-end AI workflows, but to completely rethink organizational design and workforce management. At the heart of this effort is Dr Laura Weis, a renowned British organizational psychologist with a decade + experience researching and implementing AI-augmented workflows. For over a year now she has been leading group-wide efforts to rethink the way WPP as a whole operates with AI at its core. Nobody has more expertise and experience than she does, and we are extremely lucky to have her present as part of this AI Roundtable series.
