Narrative Context Protocol (NCP) is a writer-friendly narrative model that enables stories and characters to become as portable as any media asset. NCP will support the next generation of human-fashioned consumer storytelling products from linear to immersive experiences.
By encompassing all aspects of narrative structure — character motivations, thematic content, story conflicts, and more — NCP fully captures an author’s intent, amplifying the overall creative potential.
ETC’s goal in developing NCP is to promote its use as the first format to hold all the potential of a narrative in a complete form that is actionable and respectful of writers’ contributions, rights, and narrative intent.
